Catching Up

Hello I know it's been awhile my last post was our trip to Yosemite for Fathers Day. Life has a way of getting busy but now it's time to catch up a bit.

Most everyone who reads this knows of our story with Crybaby/Surfside and through this we have met others with similar stories.  We've started camping with some of these folks and through our horrific ordeals we've found friendships.

Our first camp with our new group was to  a familiar campground, San Simeon.  We enjoyed three days of friends and camping and were the talk of the campground.

The three of us fit in one camp space and brought a crowd.

This is a great way to camp.  Everyone had a blast and can't wait until our next outing.

We had morning visitors who came for breakfast.

Alex made a lifetime friend.

In the middle of our camping season we took some time for a special trip to pick up my new partner Remy.

Remy is being trained as my service dog and as his down time he's a hunting partner too.  We took a trip to Texas to pick him up at 8 weeks.

Remy is an English Pointer and looks like Snoopy.

Remy the Wonderdog has his own Facebook page that follows his training and adventures.

Remy is at the stage he is coming out with me to train and that includes camping.

This last weekend we joined our fellow Tearjerkers and some of our new camping buddies for a special camp on Treasure Island in San Francisco.

We set up the Blue Guppy for display and settled in to a weekend of questions and tours.

We added some new gear including two changing cabanas to allow a bit more comfort while camping.  We upgraded our easy up to a larger one and they all were treated with Never Wet to ensure we are safe in wet weather.

I found our cocktail flag and raised it under our main pirate flag.

There were 28 years and vintage trailers at the event and after the crowds left in the afternoon we enjoyed Treasure Island to ourselves.

The public voted for their favorite trailer and we crowned a King of the trailer park.

Saturday evening was our appetizer potluck social and a great time to chat with everyone.

The views were spectacular, this was the city view from the island.  As it got dark we could see fisherman's wharf lit up.

This is such a great event.  The organizers and vendors were all friendly and we were happy to be a part of this event.

Heading out of the city, you can't do this in a big RV.

We camped at Sunset Beach on our return trip.  This was a very quiet and clean campground.

Remy enjoyed the quiet and no crowds of people trying to pet him.

This was the first time we did the camp and move thing.  It's easy with the tear but I have to say I like setting up and staying awhile better.

We're making some improvements on the Blue Guppy to make it really pop.  We are also helping another Crybaby owner renovate and sell her trailer.  Once we have the issues fixed I'll be posting the trailer her and on a few other sites.  The trailer is larger like ours and is a blank canvas.

Until next time, stay safe and happy camping.
